First swim in the sea

On the 3rd of February I swam for the first time in the wonderful sea of Menorca.
After the stormy weather, the sun has come back, hotter than before (and that's not completely normal: usually February is the coldest month of winter, here). On Monday there were 20°C (!!), so in the afternoon I went to the beach of Cala Mesquida, near Mahon, with some friends. Fanny and me (the bravest) couldn't resist and just run through the sand and dived in to the emerald water. It was amazing. Super cold but also super clean and regenerating.

Hi! I'm a 30 years old Italian girl and this is the story of my one year long experience as volunteer in a European Solidarity Corps project in Menorca, Spain. Let me tell you about my volunteering service at the Molí de Baix - Youth Center in Sant Lluís, in a project that includes leisure and non-formal education activities with children and teenagers. This blog wants to be kind of a diary about my personal experience, but also a useful tool for those who will choose to participate in an ESC project here in the future. I'll try to share informations about the island and the Eropean Solidarity Corps that I would have liked to receive before departure.
