Granada

On the last week of January, my flatmate Giulia and I, went to Granada, to visit some friends of her, two super nice guys (a Ukranian boy and a Moldavan girl) she had known during her on-arrival training. We found cheap flights, also thanks to our Balearic Island resident discounts.
We enjoyed their hospitality and we loved the city.
Living on the island I forgot about the city life: young glam university students everywhere, bars full at anytime, the night life, the traffic, orange and lemon tree-lined avenues, homeless people in the corners, international tourists, infinite variety of shops...
Although we already understand quite well the Spanish language, we were having a hard time understanding the Andalusian accent. It has distinctly different sound and tone from the Catalan one.
We ate a lot (tapas, jamon serrano, bacalao), went shopping, went dancing, visited the amazing Alhambra, we walked and got lost in the arabic and gipsy neighbourhood (Albayzin and Sacromonte).
But after five days, we were glad to come back to our quite and little island.
